LionHeart was in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania shooting on HD for three days to cover all of the cutting-edge special effects scenes to be used in the upcoming feature docu-drama "Gettysburg: Darkest Days & Finest Hours." With this shoot, LionHeart has also begun development on a new feature docu-drama with the Beirut Veterans Association on the 1983 Marines Barracks Bombing in Beirut Lebanon. LionHeart FilmWorks has started a new partnership with "Skirmish Magazine" in the U.K. - the monthly is the world's largest and only international living history publication. Look for a new website, new ventures, events, films and publications coming from this new, and we hope long-lasting partnership.

LionHeart FilmWorks and Crimson Books of Chicago, Illinois have begun a partnership to tie present and future LionHeart and "American Soldier Series" DVD titles into a new series of military history books. Future books from the publisher will be 'tie-ins' to LionHeart's historical pictures. More details and news will be posted on this site, especially when the first book, based on the DVD "Von Steuben's Continentals," is published.

"'Race Day Films, LLC Teams with Kevin Hershberger"
Kevin Hershberger has partnered with Race Day Films, LLC (http://www.racedayfilms.net) to produce an extensive series of triathlon and marathon training and course advantage DVDs. The first film was shot at the Annapolis Triathlon (September 9th) and the next will be at the Nation's Triathlon, Washington, D.C. (September 29th). Members of the LionHeart FilmWorks team will be part of these productions, and the first DVD will be released before Christmas this year. "''The Battle of Cooch's Bridge' Now Shooting! "
The LionHeart team was in Delaware this past weekend shooting a new documentary DVD "The Battle of Cooch's Bridge" - the story of this first battle of the 1777 Philadelphia Campaign and the largest battle of the Revolution in Delaware. We are producing a full-length DVD of the 230th anniversary re-enactment, and a 10 minute documentary on the battle for the Delaware State Parks for use in schools around the state. The DVD's anticipated release is late fall 2007 (shipping in December).

"'LionHeart team in 48 Hour Film Festival!"
The weekend of July 27th-29th, the LionHeart team participated in the first Richmond 48 Hour Film Festival. We wrote, shot, edited, scored and sound designed a 7 minute short film titled 'Fury" in only 48 hours. The short will screen Saturday, August 4th at 1pm at the historic Byrd Theater in Richmond's Carytown. Please come out and see our new film, and vote for the audience award! "No Retreat From Destiny" just won several new awards! They include: A Platinum Award in the Video/Documentary category as part of the 2007 Hermes Creative Awards peer-competition... an Award of Excellence for a Feature Documentary at the 2007 Accolade Awards. Kevin Hershberger also received an Honorable Mention nod for Directing "No Retreat From Destiny" at the 2007 Accolade Awards. The new DVD, "Von Steuben's Continentals" recently won a Silver Telly Award for Best Documentary as part of the 2007 international Telly Awards competition.

"'LionHeart begins new feature film on the Battle of Gettysburg"
Kevin Hershberger has just been contracted by the Gettysburg Anniversary Committee to shoot and direct a new feature-length docu-drama about the Battle of Gettysburg, as part of next year's 145th Anniversary event. It will be written by Kevin and historian John Pagano, and shooting will begin at this year's Gettysburg re-enactment event. Stay tuned to this site for more details.

"'The Scarlet Letters' screens at RVA Arthouse Film Festival!"
"The Scarlet Letters" was screened at the first annual RVA Arthouse Film Festival in Richmond, Virginia. One of 10 selected films, our new short film seemed to have garnered the most excitement and kindest comments. Writer Baron Blakley and stars Sarah Ellis and Barry James came out. Thanks to all who attended. We plan to be back next year with another short. Now onto Vail, CO with 'The Scarlet Letters!"

"HBO/Playtone miniseries "John Adams" begins shooting in February."
Kevin Hershberger and LionHeart's John Bert, have recently been hired to serve as the Military Coordinators for the HBO/Playtone miniseries "John Adams." Shooting begins in February in Virginia. The 7-hour series is produced by Tom Hanks and stars Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney.
